Living in Los Angeles at VIDA apartments for rent in Studio City just got a whole lot more exciting. Over the past couple of months, we’ve seen many of our museums in Los Angeles either reopen or announce their reopening! From LACMA to the Broad, here is a list of some of our favorite museums that you can start visiting.
Museums in Los Angeles
Hauser and Wirth
The downtown Los Angeles Arts District has its fair share of galleries. However, none of them can compare to Hauser and Wirth. We are ecstatic that everyone living at VIDA Studio City apartments can finally visit! For those who do not know, Hauser and Wirth is a 116,000-square-foot former flour mill that has been transformed into a complex. It houses three exhibits at a time, includes fun shops and Manuela, where you can grab food and drinks in between gallery hopping. To see what is on display now, head on over to their website.
The Broad
The Broad may sound familiar as it houses what may arguably be the best contemporary art collection in the world. Just a week ago, it reopened! Collections include works from Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koon, and so much more. Admission is free, but timed tickets are required.

LACMA
While the eastern portion of LACMA is closed in preparation for its redesign to be completed in 2024, the other half is back in business! Beyond the iconic Urban Light installation are a variety of special contemporary and modern art collections. These exhibits are constantly changing. You can see what is currently on display on their website. Please note that timed tickets are required and must be purchased in advance.
The Getty Center
The Getty Center is a coastal mansion that once belonged to J. Paul Getty and is now a remarkable complex. On the outside are a handful of courtyards. The most notable being the Robert Irwin Central Garden. On the inside are famous art collections, including Van Gogh’s Irises. Admission is free, but timed reservations must be made in advance.
